Weekend time and the posts need to be made...and I am rounding up the Munich file. It was a pleasure running into Patricia. She was the final person to be photographed in Munich as I was about to board my train, but spotted her through a coffee shop window. That hair and those endless legs needed to appear on Dashing George! It was worth going into the shop and cornering her...I think she was a bit shocked, but in the end, allowed me to take a few pictures of her. For that I was very grateful...a wonderful end to the Munich tour. |

Busy, busy, busy...trying to finalise the new Bombe du Mois for you...and this time it is an extraordinary face...so watch this space for more...
Monday morning and I think we all could need a dash of something fabulous with our morning coffee, don't you agree? What Munich has, is absolute and utter label devotion. They love their big brands and they are loyal followers...of course this is a massive generalisation and to those who are anti-label, living in Munich, my apologies...but I think that the general mood in this very beautiful city is that if you have it, flaunt it...so, when these Chanel booties walked across my path (rather hurriedly, in 'girl-about-town' tempo) at the central station, I had to capture them for you. I could almost see the same determination a certain Miss Chanel would have found fitting. Picture credit: vogue.co.uk
What could be better than Swiss design, handemade proudly in Italy? Yes, the Viu range of glasses are quite something...add to this some amazing personnel who manage to flaunt the wares so well and you have a winning combination. Thank you Stefanie and Julia for posing for me...the images from this meeting are just the ticket when I look out at the rain today. With summer on your doorstep (well, on this side of the equator, at least), there are a few fashion questions one must face, one of the most important being, what sunglasses will you be wearing this season? On my route through Munich, I came across Ace and Tate…and the gorgeous frames they had on offer. Thanks to Pauline for modelling two of my favourites…and by the way, those jeans rock…for more wonderful styles, you can look at the full collection at https://www.aceandtate.de/ so log on and see which frame you are in the mood for.
Stop by at the Heitsch Gallery in Munich (Reichenbachstrasse 14) and you will not only love the floor space and installations, but also the amazing fashion sense…take these gorgeous Attilio Giusti Leombruni Pointy Toe Ballet flats we spotted and just HAD to share with you all…you can see the full AGL collection online, where actress Dakota Fanning is headlining the Spring 2016 collection…
Effortlessness is something many struggle with. It is the personality that often stands in the way of being just what you are and expressing this through your fashion. While in Munich I met this next model who had a wonderful face and laidback cool that many fashionistas strive for, but along the way get caught up in either having to wear the correct labels or not dressing for their body type. Our model manages to be approachable and cool...two things not easily combined in one sentence!
When it comes to laid back cool, there is one stop to make in Munich, namely Simon Ese. Here, the clothing maintains a fine balance between streetstyle effortlessness and sustainability. The company uses leftover fabric in Mexico to help save our limited natural resources. Sounds good, right? Add to this the fact that proceeds from the sale of the (now famous) artist shirt design go towards social art projects…now there is fashion with a forward-thinking edge. Here, at Dashing George HQ, eco fashion that still manages to look edgy is a must for any wardrobe! For more about the company, visit them online at www.simonese.de or you can pop into their Munich store at 30 Reichenbachstr.
Our Bombe du Mois will as of now appear every second month and this month, we have something wonderful from Munich for you…so, say hi to Laura…for the full editorial, please click on the ‘Bombe du Mois’ button above….
