It's almost that time of the month again when we will reveal the face of the month...and this time there is a remarkable twist! Keep your eyes glued to this space for more...

On Sunday we have the first Advent (I hope you all have your wreaths ready!) and to mark this, Chanel will be airing its official short film simply called ‘Reincarnation’ on the 1st of December at the Métiers d’art collection in Salzburg. You may recall all the grandeur of Chanel’s advert featuring Nicole Kidman (rumoured to have been one of the most expensive adverts ever created) and this new film will be just as spectacular (if you consider the stellar casting of it-girl Cara Delevingne, Pharrell Williams and Geraldine Chaplin as Coco herself). Filmed in a dream sequence, we are treated to a spectacle of Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth "Sisi" of Austria…so, watch the film in full length and drool over the Chanel confections on chanel.com
Picture Credit: Photo taken from nylon.com For those of you based in Europe, you will all agree that November is the worst month of the year. First of all it is grey and the sun sets so early and then you have the sinking temperatures as well. It is not the best time to be out and about, but with an injection of colour, like these wonderful shoes, who wouldn’t be in fashion heaven? Visit Glamour In Rose in Milan for your own pair! These were spotted on the chic Milan streets and I had to stop and snap them for the blog…after all, which girl would not go gaga over a pair of open-toe cobalt blue reptile booties? Go on…say it…open-toe cobalt blue reptile booties…it’s like melting chocolate in your mouth… We go one-stop shopping at the mad hatter for shoes, Kurt Geiger and find the following great colour investments for the coming autumn days…try these hot pink Bond high heels, retailing at 270 pounds. Add some cowboy-via-Ziggy Stardust with these great Pistol Short U Boots, selling at 380 pounds. Or you can channel a bit of Lagerfeld with these (very Fendi) high heels, retailing at 85 pounds…these will not break the piggy bank! Picture Credits: all shoes taken from kurtgeiger.com
We need the drama. When the days grow cold and the sunlight diminshes, then we grab for the dramatic. We want the high voltage glamour and when you have had a long night, or just feel like blocking out the rest of the world, then a trusty pair of sunglasses can take you from zero to hero. We loved this next model with her great pair of sunnies, spotted in central Milan. She teams it up with a shawl-collar top and enough bling to stop P Diddy in his tracks (here we love the Chanel ring!). You can follow her on Instagram: @napela Since you may be saving up for Christmas, we decided not to showcase expensive eyewear, and have made a one-stop shopping spread for you instead. All models are from & Other Stories and are priced at 55, 45 & 19 euros respectively. They can all be found at stories.com Picture Credits: all sunglasses photographs taken from stories.com
We are back and bronzed from Miami…and what a city it is! With just the right dose of Latino heat, this city has a lot to offer. Here you will find an amazing clash of cultures with Americana mingling with the hefty fever of South America. It is a wonderful sight to behold…palm trees and blue skies so blue, you would be forgiven for thinking it was painted. Sadly, for a blogger, all the way from Europe, it is not a fashion Mecca. Here, the streetstyle was not present or up to standard for us to bring you anything new and fresh…here the call of the day is beachwear, flip flops and trainers. And, let’s face it, this is not something you don’t already know. We wanted to feature a store we found interesting, but after an employee proved unwilling and disinterested, we decided to abandon ship and focus on our tans! So, Base Superstore, in Lincoln Avenue, sorry, but no good feedback from us! You need to have your staff properly trained. Being rude is not cool…and reflects a bad light on your store. What was interesting though, was the 24h Cottons Fashion Show direct on Miami Beach, which we happened to stumble upon…great music and outfits (pictures below)… If you are in Miami, then make the beach your base camp (which is wide as the eye can see) and try all the local cuisine…We sampled rather wonderful food from Haiti, South America, Thailand, Japan, Italy and good old fashioned America…and pack only what you need for a walk along the shore. |
