Meeting a fellow blogger can be an eye-opener, especially in a city you have never visited before. On a summer's day, Viktoria met me for drinks where we chatted about blogging, Budapest and of course, all things fashionable. It is always wonderful getting in touch with someone living in the city you are visiting. It offers a perspective and numerous tips that cannot be found in tourist guides. Thank you, Viktoria, for taking the time to meet me and for all your advice not only regarding blogging, but also about your city, Budapest.

On the corner of Királyi Pál there is a bistro that is so sublime that you have to go there before their reputation truly puts them on the map. With moderate prices and a street café atmosphere, this small restaurant is serving up some amazing fare to locals and tourists. From the delicious Fois to probably the best tomatoes I have tried in a long time, the starters are all really good. For mains, both the fish and the Parma wrapped meat were cooked to perfection. And, in true Jürgen style, the cheese was ordered and arrived looking like a painting. My dessert was not bad either (wink wink). All in all, Borsso Bistro delivers some exceptional food and paired with great and efficient service, the warm evening air made it a night to remember. https://www.borsso.hu/home Finding the correct setting for fashion is a tricky business. In Budapest, there are wonderful tucked away places off the radar and with a bit of research (always suggested before actually arriving) you can come across gems that offer more than what you would normally find on the high street. Case in point, Ginger Brownie, that is one label found between a select few in a showroom that can be found in a residential building (hence the research!). The collection is for the tinier person, with wonderful details. Here, the design shines through...and to such a degree it made me wish I was a tad smaller to fit into some of the wonderful pieces....but, there is also more than you could imagine for grown ups as well... For more information, visit their webpages:
www.delacier.com www.gingerbrownie.com It is literally dawn...and I am awake...an early start to the week and monday was never a day to start early...but, when in Rome...this explains the title of the post. It also happens to be the title of a song by Kevin Ross that I like a lot at the moment and it fits the following photographs rather well. This t-shirt actually caught my eye and then the head of curls. I love the sunglasses and of course the dressed-down look is always one I admire...it is cool without trying too hard and this also just about sums up the general feeling I had while I was in Budapest. It is a city that has its own character and does not feel the need to impress. Wonderful...
To combat the autumn weather outside, I had to post something that has a bit of summer all over it...and nothing says summer more than short shorts...and paired with a crop top and John Lennon sunglasses, this look from the streets of Budapest made me stop and do a double take. Thank you Lola for posing and for bringing a bit of light into the city for all of us.
The title of my post is from an album I am listening to as I pack my suitcase...another trip and this time the port of call is the city that opened its doors and heart to me when I first arrived in Germany. Yes, it is time for another 'Wiedersehen' as the Germans say...hello Hamburg and I hope you will be good to me...although rain is due (not much of a surprise for this city, I'm afraid!).
