Busy, busy, busy...trying to finalise the new Bombe du Mois for you...and this time it is an extraordinary face...so watch this space for more...
Friday...a gorgeous day outside my window and the weekend could already start, in my humble opinion...but to kick off the two days of rest, I had to post this awesome picture of Ivan and his partner in crime, wearing fabulous prints. For long, the butt of many fashion jokes, prints were thought to be the material retired men in Florida would wear...but thanks to the fashion gurus, prints have become a way of expressing moods, seasonal styles and colour...thanks Ivan for the image and keep on being bang on trend with this look...the sunglasses are mega, by the way.
With so much creativity booming out of the land of my birth, I am pleased to present something very special: Chase...a luxe clothing range featuring the style we love to wear...comfortable clothes that have enough street cred and clever design to make the brand stand out from the rest...and thank you Zethu for this above image that sums up my mood today as we are going into the 30's today...I love summer.
The range will be available soon at www.chaseapparel.co.za
A big thank you to Gabriela Charlotte and TP Pillay for the use of the image
Monday morning and the sun is out in full force...it is going to be a wonderful summer's day...for my friends and family in the south who are battling their way through winter, my heart goes out to you...okay not too much because your winter is a LOT shorter than mine...just kidding...
Above is Erin, my cousin who I can still remember running around in pigtails, barefoot...and now, look at how she has grown into a rather remarkable woman with such beautiful contours and features...I don't normally post family photographs but this one deserves to be published...plus I am loving the all-black ensemble...very cool, Erin...
With such an attitude and vivacious smile, it was wonderful coming across this next model in Cape Town...plus the fact that she was wearing a figure-hugging denim dress and cowboy boots did add to the allure, let me tell you. I love the fringe and of course, well-groomed hair is always a big bonus in my book. What we men sadly don't have is hair long enough to create a buzz wherever we go...so I am a bit jealous...but, rightly so.
With the world spinning towards more and more craziness, where we have protests, people hurting each other in the name of religion or fanaticism, we are in desperate need of moments where our faith can be restored...and this above image of my good friend, Tammy, is testament to the happiness you can feel when something reaches fruition...so, Tammy, all the best for the upcoming events and keep on being the amazing person you are!
With a grey sky outside and no sun in sight, I have decided to post this sun-drenched photo of my friend, Bali, who, in typical supermodel style, has managed to capture an almost-neon like moment in a food market in Kenya. The bag is amazing, as are the huge earrings...what could be more fabulous, than managing to outshine the delicious fruit on offer? So, I hope you have sunnier weather than I have and if not, then perhaps this photo has managed to lift the grey and usher in the light.

I am back in Switzerland...it was a whirlwind Hamburg tour with the weather acting up in typical style, testing every wardrobe choice and camera shooting possibilities. I am so grateful to have seen some of my friends, and a big thank you to Laura, Duygu, Cecile, Ria, Gerd and Esther for making time to see me...and a VERY special thank you to my hostess, Susi, who opened her home to me during my stay up north.
Fitting my Sunday mood is this amazing picture of my friend, Ivan, who is always ultra cool and manages to make any moment a good photo moment (I am loving the LOVE tatoo as well). I am a big fan of the dungaree look, having acquired one finally last summer...it is a farmer look I think I will carry through a few seasons.
