Suitcase is packed and I am just heading out the door...skipping the Swiss sunshine for Hamburg for a few days, with my camera and plenty of time to zap new styles and faces for you all...so keep on smiling and have a mega day...

They call it the city where the sun wants to shine and what could then be more fitting than a mega-watt smile that can only lift the mood? I love this simple outfit, very grunge 90's, a-la-Kate Moss, and of course the shaved hair, very cool and always bang on trend, regardless of the season...
With the world spinning a bit out of orbit when you consider the news lately, I decided to post something to lift the mood...thank you Zanele for this amazing picture, one that not only makes me smile, but also manages to remind me why I am still blogging...so, here's to a better week than the one before!
With great pleasure and a big thank you to Superbalist’s Style Director, Tammy Tinker, we present the fruits of a very special photo shoot shot at Dakar Railway Station. With a very eclectic wardrobe, beautiful models and perfect lighting, these images portray wonderful personalities and not merely clotheshorses, capturing a mood that is hard to describe, but a certain Mr Anderson would be very proud indeed of these results!

Sunny afternoon in downtown Cape Town (although most summer days are blessed with sun, so I didn't actually need to mention that)...well, typical summer day and this lovely lady crossed my path, decked out in all black, sporting some serious sunglasses and most importantly, big hair (always a favourite here at Dashing George). I love the bang lips, which is a statement not every woman can carry off well, but she does, with great style.
With our Hamburg file closed, we have wonderful style coming from Cape Town and to get you in the mood, I have decided to include something a bit more personal this time…some snapshots of a few moments including lunches, beach walks, a wedding, catch-up time with my BFF and of course rest and plenty of relaxation spent in the company of fabulous people who know the importance of good food, wine and setting…now you can see why it is compulsory for me to visit this city once a year…not only to touch base, but also to be in this amazing country with its astounding nature, food and hospitality. Now…let us crack open the South Africa file… We have closed the Hamburg file and now we head to another shore...Cape Town...from the very talented Vivian de Waal, we have some wonderful images from his shoot for Ellements Magazine. The clever use of extravagant accessories and dramatic make-up is optimised by the dark background and of course, a beautiful model can only complete this fashion circle. This once again proves that there is such talent in this South African city! Saturday, early evening and there is rain knocking on my window...this is no typical summer. So, what to do? Why not present a new face for all of you...meet Eli, a wonderful new addition to Dashing George, from the city of Hamburg. With expressive eyes and a mane of hair, she is just what the doctor ordered! |
