At Dashing George, we have always paid a little bit more attention to the ladies, as far as fashion is concerned. This may seem unfair to our male counterparts and even more so for the boys out there who are indeed both fashionable and stylish. It is therefore, with great pleasure that we present this month’s Bombe du Mois…a new step in a new direction indeed for us, but as you will see by these photographs, Jakob is not only fashionable, but with styling by mum, he is also stylish! To see more images, simply click on the ‘Bombe du Mois’ button above…
Say the words ‘Swiss Made’ and you almost immediately think ‘expensive’. Add the word ‘Watch’ to these two words and then the mind begins to boggle indeed. Then, imagine if you were to come across a watch brand that is both affordable, with Swiss design AND made in Switzerland? This sounds like a match made in heaven. Then, you can only imagine our delight when we discovered Cornavin… The company has a falcon as symbol and this describes the watch perfectly: strong and elegant. Founded in Geneva, the company is named after an area in the city and has been producing high quality timepieces for over a hundred years – and you know how we love good old fashioned tradition! Each model is limited to 999 pieces and here is the best part: we can all afford our own! The watch collection will not break your piggy bank and you can choose from urban and sporty to classic and timeless. Run by brother and sister, Omar and Souraya Najari, the company is keen to bring fun and energy to the market, already having high profile celebrities rocking their wares. Our favourites include the CO 2012-2015R of the Downtown Sport Collection and the very refined Bellevue CO 2013-2003 (both pictured below). Check out the full online collection and list of stockists through this link: http://cornavin-watches.com/

We, here at Dashing George HQ, are all for mixing it all up and changing ideas...after all in the world of fashion, change is an essential element. So, for our new Bombe du Mois (coming soon) we have not only a new model, but a new theme...so keep your eyes pasted to our site for further pictures...

There are by now millions of blogs out there and each is vying for the spotlight. Each trying to be unique, with a message or viewpoint to share and we are a part of this global phenomenon of blogging. While some may be highly professional, providing everything from lifestyle tips to links to store purchases, there are a few out there that remain artful, creative and vivid. We are happy to do some advertising for this type, as we, here at Dashing George, are striving for the same ideal: to brighten the world with fashion and bring you, our followers, the best photos and streetstyle to inspire you to experiment more with clothing and take risks…we love, love, love staceyannloves.com and hope that you will pay this Californian designer a visit and follow her as well as she has not only striking photography, but also travel tips and much more.
Go direct to Stacey Ann by clicking this link: http://staceyannloves.com/ All photographs taken from www.staceyannloves.com With all the support for the last post, we decided to bring you a ‘behind-the-scenes’ look and show you the outfits we managed during our editorial shoot for our ‘Bombe du Mois’, Laura. We decided to incorporate the trend colours for summer (strong black and white looks, island coral and turquoise) while not ignoring the statement patterned trousers that were in most collections. The mini layered with gold sequins is a nod to the old school glamour and the Chanel sunglasses fit the ‘Grace of Monaco’ effect we were going for. For tops, we stayed basic, letting bold necklaces do the talking for us! And of course, the LBD could not be missing as this is a staple…this time with a mesh arm, an updated look for the new season.
