Well, all dedicated followers of fashion...we, here at Dashiong George, have an announcement to make. We are moving our HQ to another country and are proud to be able to bring you our fashion inspirations from the wonderful country of Switzerland! As the move is still in progress, our posts will be a bit sporadic, but we hope you will be patient with us till we find our feet. Besides our move, we will also be jetting to Cape Town to recharge, stock up on sunshine and snap a few streetstyles to inspire you....so watch this space!
Picture above taken from mithilamehta.tumblr.com When we think of dresses or skirts, there are two lengths that spring to mind. First we have short short and then boho-inspired maxi dresses that drag along the floor. With the new season comes new lengths and we are happy to present the midi length…okay, it was around last season, but come on, what could be ,more fitting to the floral prints than this wonderful length? From the runway at Marni, we have this great photo and our golden girl Aubrey also loved this trend way back in the day (the outfits from her famous film 'Roman Holiday' are enough inspiration for us, here at Dashing George). So, how to wear this? Well, try some flats, or how about some great wedge heels? On top, you could go two ways. Try a masculine blouse tucked in at the waist (as was seen at Prabal Gurung), or you could try a fitted t-shirt (channel the Burberry Prorsum spring look). Both looks are modern as the masculine shirt is very much in at the moment and a fitted T is a wardrobe staple! Our top picks are: this great skirt from zara.com, retailing at under 50 euros! http://tinyurl.com/ovsl99z or show your fashion stripes with this gorgeous number by Christopher Kane, available through brownsfashion.com, retailing at 495 pounds http://tinyurl.com/o8s47kh and show your quirky (and thrifty) side with this wonderful skirt by House of Holland, on sale at 65 pounds (also through brownsfashion.com) http://tinyurl.com/qx69h6c Picture Credits: Runway photo taken from harpersbazaar.com, Audrey Hepburn photo taken from schoolofmoxie.com, first skirt photo taken from zara.com & skirt photos 2-3 taken from brownsfashion.com
